Tune up & Maintenance
A vehicle requires preventative maintenance in order to continue to perform properly, thereby including extending its life.
Typically done once a year, a tune up involves the replacement of a few parts on your vehicle.
If they are not replaced, they can cause problems, including performance issues.
Parts that are typically replaced include:
- air filter
- distributor cap and rotor
- fuel filter
- spark plugs – replaced or cleaned
Depending on the condition, the tune up can also include the replacement of:
- oxygen sensor
- PCV valve
- spark plug wires
During the maintenance, it is a good opportunity to check out some of the vehicle’s other systems:
- vehicle fluids and oil levels
- brakes
- clutch
- cabin/pollen air filter
